Program overview
Developed around American Dental Association guidelines for sedation by dentists, the program brings comprehensive didactic learning together with substantial hands-on clinical education.
Patient assessment, pharmacology, monitoring, airway management, emergency preparedness, documentation, recovery and implementation systems are taught in one cohesive learning journey.

What you will learn
Explore the modules and topics that make up this learning experience.
Build a foundation in IV sedation through an introduction to sedative medications, emergency equipment and cardiovascular life support. This module focuses on preparing participants to recognize and respond to medical emergencies.
Connect sedation theory with practical delivery. Participants review regulatory requirements, IV access, monitoring and practice administration before applying their learning during supervised live patient clinical training.
Strengthen patient assessment and treatment planning skills while consolidating the principles of IV sedation. This final module combines review, course evaluation and supervised live patient training to assess participants’ clinical application of course learning.
